Marilyn Joan Vinson

Marilyn Joan Vinson, 76, Smithville, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2022.

Ms. Vinson was born in Lincoln County, KY, and retired from Lockheed Martin Corporate Financial Services. After retirement, she served faithfully at the Lighthouse Christian Camp in Smithville, TN, whose mission is to minister to disadvantaged children and share the hope, love, light and truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. She never ceased to stand in awe of God’s abundant faithfulness and provision.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Allen Senecal, father and mother J.C. and Gladys Vinson, sisters Cue Vinson Dunn, Vera Duvall and brother Clyde Vinson. Survivors include her daughter Cynthia Johnson Stroup, (Dan), son Charles Stephen Johnson (Julianna), granddaughter Ashley Johnson, grandson Samuel Johnson, sisters Ruth Jarrett, Mae Hogue, Ramona Hiatt (Jones), Ann Smith (JT), as well as several nieces and nephews.

No funeral services will be held. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Hustonville, Kentucky. Memorial donations in kind may be sent to Lighthouse Christian Camp, 205 Serenity Place, Smithville, TN 37166.
