Melissa Ann (Rigsby) King

Melissa Ann Rigsby King age 76 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by many loved ones on Sunday evening, June 14, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel "Red" and Margie Elizabeth Pascal Rigsby; seven siblings, James "Jim" Rigsby, Danny M. Rigsby, Lloyd and Floyd Rigsby, Billy Joe Rigsby, Ronald and Donald Rigsby. 

She is survived by five children: Symantha G. Haley (Richard), Terry Bullard (Tricia), Riley Anthony Bullard, Jamie Bullard, and Melshia Martin; twelve grandchildren, Chase Haley, Micah Haley, Ashley Beck, Danielle Crompton, Brandi Liggett, Brittani Totty, Blaze Eaton, Keeli Stickler, Koby Bullard, Riley Bullard, Lexi Bullard, and Taylor Bullard; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; two siblings, Margie Rigsby Miller (Billy King), Bob M. Rigsby (Vanessa) and sister-in-law, Elaine Rigsby.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Wednesday June 17, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Jason Miller officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Tuesday 3 PM until 8 PM and on Wednesday 10 AM until the time of the service at 12 Noon.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the King family.
