Randy Vanderpool

Randy Frank Vanderpool age 70 of Liberty, passed away Friday morning, January 2, 2026, at his residence.  He was born October 22, 1955, to his parents, the late Frank and Lora Dell Mathis Vanderpool.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Vanderpool.  Randy worked for several years at Fakes and Hooker Lumber in Lebanon and 22 years at Tenneco.  He was a member of the Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Kim Vanderpool of Liberty; stepdaughter, Brianna (Clint) Desroches of Westmoreland.  Graveside services and interment will be 1 PM Monday, January 5, 2026, at Sycamore Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating.  There will not be any services or visitation at the funeral home.  Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the service at 1 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Vanderpool family.
