Rena Jewell Cryer

Rena Jewell Cryer age 83, passed away December 5, 2022 at her residence in Dowelltown. She was born July 30, 1939 to her parents, the late John and Jewell Cook Trout. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cryer; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Carl Murphy, Tommy Trout, Judy Heslar, and Ronnie Trout. Ms. Cryer worked as a Barber. She is survived by children, Tony A. Rhoten of Nashville, Cindy Cyr of Dowelltown, and David Cryer of Dowelltown; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held 1:PM Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Young Cemetery in the Keltonburg Community with Bro. Sam Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
