Ronald B. Hill

Ronald B. Hill age 87, passed away at his residence Wednesday September 14, 2022. He was born September 3, 1935 to his parents, Marcus and Robbie Hobbs Hill, Sr.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy L. Hill; sisters, Louise Bjerke, Mary Van Horn, Anita Thomas, Sadie Russell, Ruby Wiley; brothers, Marcus Hill, Jr., Bennie Stewart, Joe Hill. Mr. Hill attended Outreach Baptist Church and worked as a saw operator in a lumber mill. He is survived by wife of 32 years, Sue Hill of Smithville; sons, Avery (Donna) Hill and Jeffery (Lisa) Hill both of McMinnville; step-daughter, Tammy Brown of Smithville; step-sons, Tracy (Tammy) Ferrell of Rock Island, and Jason (Racheal) Ferrell of Smithville; 3 step-grandsons, Derrick Tramel and Bradley Brown both of Smithville, and Taylor (Brittany) Ferrell of Gainesboro; 1 step great-granddaughter, Lilly Tramel of Celina; sister, Barbara Bloodworth of Beersheba; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 11:AM Saturday September 17, 2022 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jeff Hill and Bro. Nathan Thomason officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4:00PM until 7:00PM and Saturday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM.  The family would like to say a special "Thank You," to Alive Hospice, Megan and Dr. Dingle and her staff for the care that was shown to Mr. Hill. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
