Ronnie Pollard age 76 of the Belk Community of DeKalb County, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, April 12, 2026, at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. He was born August 28, 1949, to his parents, the late Verble and Beatrice Prater Pollard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommie and Betty Jones and a brother-in-law, Ray Robinson. Ronnie worked in plumbing and appliance repair and was a member of Mt. View The Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Darlene Pollard of Smithville; two children, Kim (Cory) Crabtree and Shannon Pollard (Brenda Fuson) both of Smithville; grandchildren, Cayden (Alexis) Kyle, Conner Crabtree, Trey Crabtree, Addison Kyle, Killee-Jo (Charlie) Ford and Everly Pollard; seven brothers and sisters, Robert Pollard, Ruetta Pollard, Oleta Bratcher, Kelly Pollard, Doris (Steve) Cantrell, Donald Pollard and Kathy Ashford all of Smithville; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Teresa Robinson, Cheryl (Darrin) Barnes and Tony (Patricia) Jones all of Smithville. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bryan Jones officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday 5 PM until 7 PM and Wednesday 10 AM until the time of the service at 12 Noon. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Pollard family.
