Sandra Kay Thomason

Sandra Kay Thomason age 59 of Smithville passed away Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025, at St Thomas Dekalb Hospital ER in Smithville. She was born August 18, 1966, to her mother, Eva Dean Atnip Thomason and her late father, William Paul Thomason. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Howard and Hettie Thomason, Bill and Josie Atnip; brother, Doyle Thomason; sister, Joe Ann Tramel. Ms. Thomason was a nursery worker. She is survived by her 2 sons, Roman Smith and Xavier Glenn both of Smithville; mother, Dean Thomason of Smithville; Brother-in-law, Ricky (Possum) Tramel; Nieces, Medana (Arlin) Byford of Woodbury, Keshia (Terry) Castillejos of Smithville; great niece and nephew, Jada (Austin) Cook and Riley Palmer. Several great-great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Friday, December 5, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Mt Holly cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 10 AM until the time of service at 1 PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Thomason family.
