Sue (Hooper) Banker

Pauline Sue Banker age 81 of Sparta passed away Wednesday August 12, 2026, at her residence. She was born May 4, 1945, to her parents the late Albert Lee and Flora Ruth Trusty Hooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Ivy Banker; siblings, Maureen Florida, Eugene Hooper, Milas Hibdon, Peggy Blish Parsley, Doris Cripps, Hoyte Hooper, Faye Trotter, and Mildred "Bill" Poss.  Sue was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and worked at the Shirt Factory and S & W Manufacturing.  She is survived by children, Lee Ann Banker of Sparta, Amy Jenkins of Sparta, and Adam (Melanie) Banker of Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Drew (Carrie) Banker, Jacob (Rosie) Jenkins, J.J. (Cassie) Taylor, Amanda Taylor, Alexis Banker, Alex Banker, Adalyn Banker; great-grandchildren, Jackson Banker, Ivory Jenkins, Kyson Taylor, and Henslee Taylor; sister, Dean Johnson of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday August 17, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 11AM until the time of the service at 2PM. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to Whorton Springs Cemetery in memory of Ms. Sue. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Banker family.
