Sue (Hall) Hill

Sue Hill age 79, of Smithville passed away Tuesday April 14, 2026, at her residence.  She was born March 28, 1947, to her parents the late Benjamin Harrison and Lillie Mae Neal Hall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ronald Hill; brother, Jim Hall; sisters, Kathyrn and Lucille Holmes, Helen Herman and Nell Hall; son-in-law, Roscoe Brown; brother-in-law, Eddie Swaney.  Sue attended Outreach Baptist Church and was head-cook at NHC Smithville for 31 years. She is survived by daughter, Tammy Brown (Roger); two sons, Tracy (Tammy) Ferrell, Jason Ferrell; grandchildren, Bradley Brown and Derrick Brown of Smithville, Taylor (Brittany) Ferrell; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Tramel; sister, Margaret Swaney; several nieces and nephews also survive.  Visitation will be held 4 PM until 7 PM Thursday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.  A private burial will be held.  The family ask in lieu of flowers donations be made to Outreach Baptist Church in memory of Ms. Sue.  The family would also like to express a special "Thank You" to Dr. Dingle and staff, Adorations Home Health and Gentiva Hospice for the love and care shown Ms. Hill during her sickness.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Hill family.
