Wade Ferrell

Wade Ferrell age 62 of Smithville passed away at his residence Thursday afternoon July 2, 2026.  He was born January 14, 1964, to his parents the late Ellis and Wilma George Ferrell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Ferrell and a son, Zack Ferrell.  Wade worked as LPN School Nurse for the DeKalb County Board of Education.  He is survived by five children, Shaun Ferrell, David (Kayla) Ferrell, Hannah Ferrell (Jared Pyles), Rachel Ferrell (Eli England) all of Smithville and Emilee (Matthew) Stubblefield, Collin (Kayleigh) Ferrell all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jameson, Mazeleigh, Whyett, Raeleigh Ferrell and Karson Pyles; brother, Marshall (Beverly) Ferrell; two sisters, Frances (Ricky) Martin and Darnette Hibdon and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM Sunday July 5, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday July 5, 2026, 11 AM until the time of the service at 4:30 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Ferrell family.
