Wilma Jerlene (Powers) Blair

Wilma Blair age 88 of Pleasant Shade and formerly of Smithville passed away Tuesday morning October 21, 2025 at Smith County Health and Rehab.  She was born September 17, 1937, to her parents the late Tavy Andrew and Lou Willie Wyatt Powers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Colwell; 3 sisters, Imogene Dodd, Elizabeth Mitchell, Rachel Duck; 2 brothers, Steve Powers and Teddy Powers; sister-in-law, Helen Powers.  Ms. Blair was a member of Carthage First Free Will Baptist Church and worked as a nurse.  She is survived by 2 sons, Randy Blair (Virginia) of Santa Fe, TN and Freddy (Denise) Blair of Dowelltown; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, John (Barbara) Powers of El Paso, AR, Robert Powers of Success, AR, Mark (Becky) Powers of AR, and David (Deanna) Powers of Lake Village, AR; brother-in-law, Daymond Duck of Dyer, TN; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday October 28, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Andrew Shirah, Bro. Frank Bratcher and Bro. Freddy Blair officiating and burial will follow in Bluff Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2 PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Blair family.
