Earl Wayne Raymond

Earl Wayne Raymond age 72 of Smithville passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at his residence.  He was born August 18, 1947 to his parents, the late B.L. and Helen West Raymond.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Raymond.  Earl was a member of the Mt. Hope The Baptist Church and a nurseryman.  He is survived by 2 sons, Brian (Kristin) Raymond of Kentucky and Adam (Amy) Raymond of Smithville; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Raymond, Brianna Raymond, Aniston Raymond, Alexis Raymond; 2 sisters-in-law, Flora Mai Adcock and Marie (Jimmy) Taylor both of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be 11:AM Friday, October 11, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dwight Knowles officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Thursday 4:PM until 8:PM and Friday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Whorton Springs Cemetery Fund, in memory of Mr. Earl.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
