Elias Atnip Obituary

Elias Aldric Atnip the 22 month old son of Eric and Beth Atnip, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2019.  He was born November 15, 2017 in Nashville.  Elias was preceded in death by grandmothers, Jamye Atnip and Lori Atnip; great-grandparents, Sammy Bain, Browder and Jean Hutson; uncle, Chris Young.  His home church was New Life United Pentecostal Church.  In addition to his parents,  he is survived by 3 siblings, Savory Ike Brown, Nevaeh Elizabeth Brown and Joshua Wyatt Atnip; maternal grandparents, Darryl and Kim Young of Smithville and Jeff and Younghee Hutson of Georgia; paternal grandfather, Dennis Atnip of Smithville; great-grandparents, Mary and Albert Colwell of Smithville, Jimmie and Gayle Goolsby of Smithville, George and Nancy Beckley of Liberty, Boyd and Immogene Atnip of Smithville; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his special friends, all his nurses and medical staff that have loved and cared for him.  Funeral services will be 2:PM Friday, October 4, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jordan Atnip and Bro. Randy Pedigo officiating and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Dwayne Cornelius officiating.  Visitation with the family will be on Friday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to help with cemetery and marker expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
