Jason Allen Bates

Jason Allen Bates age 42 of Smithville, passed away Tuesday February 20, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  He was born January 7, 1976 to his parents, Harlon Lee Bates and Mary Carolyn Page Miller.  Jason worked in manufacturing and member of the First Assembly of God in Sparta.  He is survived by his mother, Mary Carolyn Miller of Sparta; father, Harlon Bates of Smithville; significant other, Louann Sanders; 2 brothers, Jeffery Lee Bates and Charles Christie Bates and 1 sister, Carol Sue Morse.  The family has chosen a direct cremation.  A Memorial Service will be conducted 11:AM Saturday March 24, 2018 at Harvest Time Church with Bro. Robert Page officiating.  The Family will receive friends from 10:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
