Mary Frances Caplinger

Frances Caplinger age 88, passed away Thursday September 12, 2019 at her residence in Smithville. She was born October 30, 1930 to her parents the late Orvin and Bessie Lee Colvert Pack. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Caplinger; brother, Joe Pack; nephew, Johnny Pack. Ms. Caplinger was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and she was co-owner and manager of Burger Shake Restaurant. She is survived by her children, Sue Hughes of Smithville, and Gary Caplinger of Smithville; grandchildren, Ryan Hughes, and Westin Caplinger; 2 great-grandchildren, Brady Hughes, McKenna Hughes; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doston (Ruth) Caplinger of Smithville; caregiver and good friend, Kathy Vanatta. Funeral services will be Sunday September 15, 2019 at 2:PM with Bro. Gary Caplinger and Randy Vaughn officiating with burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Saturday September 14, 2019 at 2:PM  until 8:PM and on Sunday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM. In addition  to flowers donations  may be made to The American Cancer Society or Lighthouse or Avalon Hospice. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
