Rex Droste Obituary

Rex Alan Droste age 61 of Liberty passed away Tuesday night, November 27, 2018 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. He was born February 1, 1957 to his parents, Leo and Evelyn Jacobson Droste. He was a published author, worked at IBM, he sang at NHC HealthCare and the Webb House and was a member of the Webb's Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by 2 children; companion, Anne Thiel of Liberty; parents, Leo and Evelyn Droste of Lebanon; siblings, Roxanne Burleigh of Lebanon, Paul (Joani) Droste of Portland, Connie Benson (Doug Conyer) of Westmoreland, Mark Droste (Barbara) of Murfreesboro and Cheryl (Larry) Flanery of Westmoreland; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. There will be a Celebration of Life Service held 11:AM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Webb's Chapel United Methodist Church with Bro. David Hill officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday 10:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice, in memory of Rex. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
