Billy Joe Rigsby

Billy Joe Rigsby age 64 of Smithville passed away November 24, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 18, 1957 to his parents the late Jewell Brown "Red" and Elizabeth Pascal Rigsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Eulalia Ann Rigsby; brothers, Ronald Dean Rigsby, James "Jim" Rigsby, Floyd Lynn Rigsby, Danny Marlin Rigsby, Donald "Donnie" Rigsby.  He was of the Baptist Faith and worked in nursery and a farmer. He is survived by sisters; Melissa King, and Margie Miller of Smithville; brothers, Lloyd Rigsby and Bob (Vanessa) Rigsby of Smithville; sister-in-law, Elaine Rigsby; many nieces and nephews; very special friend, Marla Turner of Smithville; granddaughter, Makayla Turner; special friend, David Turner; step-children, Kelly Gohs and Joy Woodell. Graveside services and interment will be 1:30 PM Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Jefferson Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. There will be no visitation or services held at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 1:30PM.  The family ask in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jefferson Cemetery Fund, in memory of Billy Joe. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
