Carl August Howard

Carl August Howard age 79, passed away Thursday June 23, 2022, at his residence in Smithville. He was formerly of Maryland. He was born October 9, 1942, to his parents the late, Carl Saltan and Mary Bocklage Howard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Howard. Mr. Howard was a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked as a machinist for Black-n-Decker: A A I: I C A: and E V I.  He is survived by his wife, Janet Howard of Smithville; children, Carl A. (Lara) Howard, II of Kentucky, and West (Carolyn) Howard of Gallatin; grandchildren, Nathan Howard, Anna Howard, Bryce Howard, Courtney (Danny) Rodriguez, Koryn Howard, and Kendall Howard; great-grandchild, Asher Jones; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held 1:PM Tuesday June 28, 2022, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with family officiating and burial was in DeKalb Cemetry. Visitation was Tuesday June 28, 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at 1:00PM. Pallbearers was Danny Rodriguez, Courtney Rodriguez, Nathan Howard, Bryce Howard, Carl Howard, II, and West Howard. DeKalb Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
