Danny Richard Parsley

Danny Parsley age 64 of Smithville, passed away Monday night, February 3, 2020 at his residence.  He was born May 6, 1955 to his parents, the late Delton and Nell Webb Parsley.  Danny was a member of Buckner's Chapel United Methodist Church and worked at Carrier for many years.  Danny loved music and taught many students through the years in guitar.  He is survived by his son, Daniel Parsley and fiancé, Angelica of McMinnville; 2 sisters, Debbie (Van) Mathis of Liberty and Libby (Jerry) McCormick of Smithville; 1 brother, Jeff (Michelle) Parsley of Smithville; nieces and nephews, Eric Mathis, Pamela Delay, Adrienne McCormick, Ashley McCormick, Katy Jumper, Kevin Parsley, Kameron Parsley, Kelly Neal, Kimberly Parsley, Jack Good and Abby Watson; mother of his son, Donna Parsley of Smithville; several great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great niece.  The family has chosen a direct cremation, a Memorial Service will be held 5:PM Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Van Mathis officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday 3:PM until the time of the memorial service at 5:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
