Gregory Allen "Little Greg" Mayo, II

Gregory Allen "Little Greg" Mayo, II age 31 of Smithville, passed away Saturday April 10, 2021 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER.  He was born November 1, 1989 in Smithville.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eva Redmon, Willard Young, Dave, Jr.  and Joyce Mayo.  Little Greg was disabled and had worked at Evins Mill, was a 2007 graduate of DeKalb County High School and he was raised up attending the House of Prayer.  Survivors include his mother and step-father, Darla and Todd Guess;  father, Big Greg Mayo; son, Damien Lykins Mayo; sister, Christina Mayo; favorite nephew, Aiden Guess; nephews, Shawn, Jr and Cain Buck; niece, Shawna Buck; step-brother, Nick (Ashley) Guess all of Smithville; step-sister, Stephany (Kevin) Richards of Henderson, KY; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; friends, Samantha Sam, Nick Ambrose, Ethan Cantrell; best friends, Kenny Smith, Caroline Asher, Ashley Mayo and Little Michael Mayo.  To honor Little Greg's request his mother is having him cremated and a memorial service will be held later.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
