Jerry Wayne Walker

Jerry Wayne Walker age 73 of Smithville, passed away on Tuesday morning, November 10, 2020 at his residence.  He was born April 4, 1947 in Warren County, Tennessee to his parents, the late Cecil and Maggie Green Walker.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lola Walker; siblings, J.B. Walker, Lera Arnold, Chuck Walker, Shirley Cook, infant Melbie Walker, Cordell Walker, Fay Griffin and Dwight Walker.  He was retired from DTC Communications and a member of the Church of Christ.  Survivors include his wife, Patty K. Walker; son, Timothy (Joanie) Walker; two grandchildren, Javan and Kendall Walker; his chosen daughter, Tamara (Derrick) Young and chosen granddaughter, Dominique Young; two brothers, Douglas Walker and Ronnie Walker and many nieces and nephews also survive.  The family has honored his request to be cremated and there will be a Graveside Memorial Service 11:AM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  There will not be any services or visitation at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
