Joyce (Ponder) Thomason

Joyce Ponder Thomason age 81 of Smithville passed away Friday morning, August 16, 2019 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.  She was born April 13, 1938 to her parents, the late Alex and Willie Belle Adcock Ponder.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, Bill Ponder.  She was a member of the Church of God, a retired secretary and enjoyed artist painting.  Joyce is survived by 4 sons, Terry (Chris) Mollinet and Ronnie (Tammy) Mollinet both of Smithville, Steve (Kathy) Thomason of McMinnville and Tony (Renee) Thomason of Lebanon; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Larry Ponder of West Virginia.  Funeral services will be 4:PM Sunday, August 18, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with ro. Bobby Thomason officiating and burial will follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be on Saturday 4:PM until 8:PM and Sunday 10:AM until the time of the service at 4:PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
