Kate Ewald Obituary

Kate Anna Ewald age 96 of Smyrna passed away Tuesday morning, April 23, 2024 in Smithville. She was born June 26, 1927 in Falkenheim, Germany. She was a homemaker and a Lutheran. Ms. Ewald leaves to cherish her memory 2 children, Richard Ewald and Eveline Sechler; grandchildren, Katherine (Adam) Hudson, Christopher Paul Sechler and James Edward Sechler; great-grandchildren, James David Sechler, Christina Marie Sechler, Aerabella Rose Yingling and Grayson Alexander Blaze Sechler. The family has chosen a direct cremation and no services are planned. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Ewald family.
