Pamela Young Obituary

Pamela Sue Cook Young age 63 of Smithville passed away at her residence on Sunday September18, 2022. She was born December13, 1958 to her parents the late Roy Evins and Hazel Barrett Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Paul Young; paternal grandparents, Yank Evins and Lottie Cook; maternal grandparents, Joe and Clemmie Barrett; brothers, Carl Thomas "Puggy" Cook and Ronnie Cook. Ms. Young was a member of Whorton Springs Baptist Church, and a CNA. She is survived by sisters, Dorothy George Wooden of Alexandria, and Lisa Rhody of Smithville; brother, Joe (Brenda) Cook of Watertown; niece, Whitley (Dale) Stauffacher and their children, Sydney, Silas, Sawyer Pardo, Dylan, Rowan, and Asa Stauffacher of McMinnville; several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews also survive; special friend, Kathy Adcock (Steve) Merz. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating, and burial to follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday September 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
