Patricia Ann (Mathis) Tallent

Patricia Ann Mathis Tallent  age 77 of Smithville, passed away April 18, 2024, at her residence. She was born July 26, 1946, to her parents the late Guy and Thelma Davenport Mathis.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odie Tallent; sister, Sharon Mathis; step-son, Jason Tallent.  Ms. Tallent was a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and worked as a Quality Tech at Tenneco.  She is survived by her children, Louis Taft Hendrixson III of Smithville, Jill Marie Hendrixson-Goneke of Nashville, and Javon (Natasha) Hendrixson of Smithville; step-son, Josh (Jennifer) Tallent of Smithville; grandchildren, Nicholas Tallent, Brantley Goneke, Nicholas Pendleton, Brantley Cantrell, Paris Grigsby, Sophia Burdine, Scarlet Hendrixson; sister, Guylene (Dr. Robert) Atnip of Smithville; brother, Van (Debbie) Mathis of Liberty.  Funeral Service will be held 11:AM Thursday April 25, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday 2:PM until 6:PM and Thursday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star in memory of Ms. Tallent.
