Rick Gesegnet, Jr.

Rick Gesegnet, Jr. age 61 of Smithville passed away Tuesday night, March 13, 2018 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville.  He was born May 5, 1956 in Buffalo, NY to his parents, Patricia Ann Fekete and the late Richard Gesegnet, Sr.  He was a Vietnam U. S. Army, construction worker, member of the Smithville First Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the NRA.  He is survived by his wife, Becky Gesegnet of Smithville; 2 daughters, Joanne (Phillip) Gilley of Deer Lodge, TN and Christina (Patrick) Murphy of Smithville; 6 grandchildren; mother, Pat Fekete of Sarasota, FL and 1 brother, Daniel Gesegnet of Sarasota, FL.  Rick's request was to be cremated and there will be a Memorial Service held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Smithville First Baptist Church, Activities Building with Bro. Chad Ramsey officiating.  The family will receive friends form 9:AM until the time of the service at 10:AM at the Activities Building of First Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
