Ricke Thomas Smith

Ricke Thomas Smith age 65 of Smithville passed away Tuesday morning, December 10, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.  He was born December 8, 1954 in Hendricks, Minnesota to his parents, the late Raymond Earl and Ruth Hanson Smith.  He was a Catholic and a carpenter.  Ricke was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam.  He is survived by his wife, Patty Smith of Smithville; son, William (Toni) Roesman of Smithville; 2 grandchildren, Duane Bolden and Lillian Roseman; 1 brother, Leroy (Janice) Smith of California.  The family has chosen a direct cremation.  A Memorial Service will be 1:PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with father John Patrick Day officiating and Military Honors conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard.  Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1:PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
