Ricky Lane Evans

Ricky Lane Evans, age 52 , of Smithville passed away Friday morning at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1970 to his mother, Thelma Young Evans and his late father, Cordell Evans. Mr. Evans worked in Maintenance at Federal Mogul for over 20 years. He is survived by children, Amber (Jordan) Bain of Rock Island, Ryan Evans of Smithville, Ethan Evans of Lafayette, and Tristen Evans of Lafayette; grandchildren, Karsyn and Jasper Bain, and Tate Evans; mother Thelma Evans of Smithville; sister, Debbie (Brian) Lehan of Smithville; brother, Dell Evans of Smithville; nieces and nephews, Renee (Jason) Walker, Sarah (Kenny) Harris, Stephanie Barber, David Evans, and Ashley Evans. The family has honored Mr. Evans request to be cremated, and no services are planned. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
