Tammy May (Taylor) Davenport

Tammy May Davenport age 52 of the Short Mountain Community, passed away Sunday at the St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.  She was born July 30, 1968 to her parents, the late George Emory and Minnie Louise Estes Taylor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Davenport.  She worked in nursery and was a Pentecostal.  She is survived by 3 brothers, Russell Taylor, Bobby Taylor and Randall Taylor; 2 sisters, Brenda Barrett and Georgene (Jeffery) Grisham all of the Short Mountain Community; several nieces, nephew and other extended family and friends also survive.  Graveside services will be conducted 2:PM Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Melton Cemetery at Half Acre with Bro. Leonard Herman officiating. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home.  Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 2:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
