Thomas John Beckham, Sr.

Thomas "Tom" John Beckham, Sr. age 81 of Smithville, passed away Thursday September 8, 2022, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was born August 1, 1941, to his parents the late Wardie Auther and Ruby Ward Beckham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Brian Beckham and Michael Beckham; brother, Herman Beckham. Mr. Beckham served in the United States Air Force and was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Beckham of Smithville; son, Thomas John Beckham, JR. of Smithville; 2 grandsons. Josh Beckham and Travis Beckham both of Smithville; brother, Marvin Beckham of Smithville; daughter-in-law, Shelia Beckham of Smithville. The family has honored Mr. Beckham's request to be cremated. No services are planned. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
